Hey y'all!
As I mentioned in my last post, we did a bit of traveling in the last 2 months!
We moved from San Diego to Oklahoma, then a week later we turned around & headed abroad to Ireland & Britain!
Today is going to be Part 1 of 3 & all about our trip to Ireland!
{
Part 2 - England | Part 3 - Lemmon Stayed Stateside}
I loved Ireland! All of the people we met were so stinking nice! If you have a chance, GO!
Now time for a billion {
but not all} pictures from our honeymoon Part 1!
Day 2 :
Dublin Airport |
Wicklow National Park |
Springfarm Sheep Farm
|
5:15 AM arrival! Welcome to Dublin! |
|
Driving on the right side of the car & left side of the road was a challenge! |
I am so happy that we rented a car for the first part of our trip. It really let us see the countryside.
{
ps -
Mattie did most of the driving.
I was too chicken!}
We joked that if you're a couple and need help with communication, just rent a car in a country that drives on the opposite side of the road. You are bound to improve your communication skills!

Wicklow National Park, Co. Wicklow, Ireland | Scorched by Farmers |
Our host at Springfarm informed us that Wicklow National Park was burned up because a lot of sheep farmers do illegal burning at night for better grazing. Parts of it were beautiful but there was quite a bit that was brown & scorched.
We loved our stay at Springfarm {
except for the part where I spent the whole first day in bed from jet lag}. Our host was extremely nice and helpful. It was so beautiful and they allow you to help out if you want! If we make it back to Ireland, we will have to stay again!
Day 3 :
New Ross |
Jameson Distillery |
Church Bay
On our second day, we drove through New Ross on our way to Middleton. We decided to stop and take a look at this old ship, which happened to have the JFK memorial in front of it.

After our hike, we packed up headed toward Dingle. I wish we would have explored a bit more around Crosshaven, but we were excited to stop in Killarney & get to Dingle!

Pony Trekking was the highlight of our trip! We opted for the 2 hour trek on the beach then through the mountains. We managed to keep warm during the hail storm & rain. Definitely an experience we'll never forget!

Day 16 : Dublin - Queen of Tarts | Guinness Store House | Samuel Beckett Bridge
As you can see we jumped to Day 16 because days 7-15 were spent in Britain!
{You can check that out in Part 2}
This was our only full day spent in Dublin. It was nice to see parts other than the Temple Bar District.
