Since it's National LOVE Day, I thought my TBT should definitely be of Mattie and I!
Many of you know how we met, but some of you may not, so here is our little fairytale!
Disclaimer: This is a super sappy, want to make you barf, story. If you are not one for overly gushy things or you have a weak stomach, you may want to look away!
Once upon a time, there was a Marine home on leave (from learning to fight dragons) and a girl working in a horrid apparel shop. The Marine was attending a grand soiree at the local water recreation center and was in dire need of the perfect ensemble! He ventured to the nearest market and happened to wander into the horrid apparel shop, where he met the girl. The Marine had become so smitten by the girl that he returned multiple times during his short leave to see her.

During his last visit, he asked the girl to accompany him to a sporting even with his peers. He informed her then, that he would be gone for a while but he would write. And he did write. He wrote many letters to her. Then finally he returned, found her again and he decided to court her.

They became inseparable! Of course until he had to return to his post (to learn to fight even more dragons).

She went to visit him in distant lands (Florida & North Carolina) and they fell deeply in love.

The Marine decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with the girl, so he proposed!

Bleh... I'm not one for gushy stuff, but in honor of Valentine's Day I thought it would be a fun to write. No worries, it won't be happening again, but I hope you enjoyed our fairy tale!
